Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats offer welcoming and inclusive experiences designed to help you reconnect with a happier, healthier you through yoga, nature and connection. Each retreat creates the time and space to slow down, rest, and gently check in with yourself, supported by shared practice and connection.

Our retreats take place in carefully chosen natural settings across the UK and Europe. From peaceful countryside and woodland locations to coastal and mountain landscapes, each venue is selected for its beauty, tranquillity and ability to support rest, reflection and well-being.

Surrounded by nature, you’ll have the opportunity to step away from everyday life, move gently through yoga, enjoy time outdoors, and reconnect — with yourself, with others and with the natural world.



About Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats

Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats has been offering yoga retreats since 2013, originally in France at my own property and across a variety of locations in the UK. Following some personal changes that felt like a fresh beginning, I was inspired to give the retreats a new name and renewed focus. Tranquillité Retreats became Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats, with an emphasis on yoga, nature and self care practices.

I’ve always loved bringing people together on retreat. These shared experiences offer the opportunity to step away from everyday life, relax, and focus on yourself for a few days. Practising yoga encourages us to become more self aware — a chance to pause, check in, and notice how you are doing both physically and mentally. Retreat time allows space to rest and reflect, to enjoy familiar practices, or to explore something new.

Our Mission

My mission is to create yoga retreat experiences that are friendly, fun and inclusive, supporting your well-being and helping you reconnect with a deeper sense of self through yoga practice and time immersed in nature. I’m particularly drawn to the quote by Albert Einstein:
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

My wider vision has always been to contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to a calmer, more peaceful and empathic society.


About Me

Hello, I’m Maria.

I’ve been practising yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2011. Yoga has had a profoundly positive impact on my own life, and I remain passionate about sharing what I’ve learned with others in an accessible and supportive way.

Alongside yoga, I feel most at home outdoors. I love hiking, climbing and paddle boarding, and growing up on a farm fostered a deep connection to the natural world. I find being in nature incredibly healing and, much like yoga, I’m keen to encourage others to experience its therapeutic benefits.

Sharing time outdoors as a group feels especially meaningful — it connects us to one another and, just as importantly, back to the earth. I aim to bring all of this, along with my own experience and enthusiasm, into each retreat so you can experience the benefits of yoga and nature together.
