Roaming Spirit Retreats was created from a love of movement, wild places, and meaningful connection.
We believe yoga doesn’t belong within four walls. It belongs under open skies, beside water, on woodland paths anywhere we can slow down enough to truly feel where we are.
Retreats are an invitation to step away from the noise and return to yourself. Through movement, breath, rest, and time outdoors, we create space to reset and reconnect gently, without pressure.
But the journey doesn’t end when the retreat does.
That’s where Roaming Yogis was born.

These gatherings take us into the wild — canal litter picks, guided walks, cold water dips, paddleboard mornings. Some are slow and grounding. Some are bracing and bold. All are rooted in purpose.
They’re a way to keep moving, keep exploring, and care for the landscapes that hold us long after the retreat weekend ends.

My wider vision has always been to contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to a calmer, more peaceful and compassionate society — beginning with the simple act of stepping outside, slowing down, and reconnecting.
Hello, I’m Maria.
I’ve been practising yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2011. Yoga has had a profoundly positive impact on my own life, and I remain passionate about sharing what I’ve learned with others in an accessible and supportive way.
Alongside yoga, I feel most at home outdoors. I love hiking, climbing and paddle boarding, and growing up on a farm fostered a deep connection to the natural world. I find being in nature incredibly healing and, much like yoga, I’m keen to encourage others to experience its therapeutic benefits.
Sharing time outdoors as a group feels especially meaningful — it connects us to one another and, just as importantly, back to the earth. I aim to bring all of this, along with my own experience and enthusiasm, into each retreat so you can experience the benefits of yoga and nature together.
